give back to the community which has given us so much!
You can
undertake and fulfill this noble initiative in a number of ways. One
such path, which gives you a humble opportunity to not only mix-up with
the local community but also provide food and education to the
underprivileged children of this beautiful community, is through a local
non-profit organization called “Fundacion Lirio del Valle”.
Established in 2009, this Non Profit Organization takes care of 120 children who sreside in Villa
Caoba, an impoverished community of La Romana, Dominican Republic.
Currently headed by Anna Maria Pla Pujal, this foundation runs with an
active support of volunteers, sponsors and partners from Spain and
Dominican Republic. The foundation conducts educational workshops on
Saturdays and regular health check-up. This Non Profit Organization is
steadily working towards making a difference, however small, towards
enhancing the quality of life these children are living. They are always
looking for compassionate sponsors and volunteers who are willing to
contribute towards this noble cause. The main purpose of the foundation
is to sponsor the school tuition for the children of this community.
You can too
extend a helping hand by making a suitable donation. It could be as
simple as donating notebooks, pencils, book, bag or you may also make a
difference by sponsoring a child’s education.
While in Punta
Cana, you can drive to the foundation in 30 minutes, thanks to Coral
